I'm a fan of Orangewood guitars. Use to play Taylor guitars but their prices are now ridiculous and their playability has gone down hill. Still sound good and are beautiful to look at but tone and playablilty for the price is King in my book so that leads me to Orangewood. I have many Orangewood guitars and each have their own tone. I thought I would try the Victoria because it is different from the other Orangewoods I have. It is not solid wood, no pickup, 43mm neck width-not 44mm like other full size Orangewood guitars-just a plain guitar. Worth a try and can send it back if it is not liked. Not on your life...This is one of the most amazing guitars I have played! Toneality is very even on all strings and is so easy to play with the narrower neck. I did the usual string change to Elixir 10-46 and had to lower the action slightly to suit my taste. Everything else was perfect. The gig bag could have been better but is not the worst gig bag I've seen either. Amazing guitar!!!!!
Nothing much to say other than it’s an amazing guitar, fantastic job.
Perfect Travel and Couch Guitar For A Song Writer. I truly have been enjoying this guitar everyday since I received it. Love the size and sound of this guitar and the quality gig bag that comes with the purchase price, perfect for travel. I am in love with this guitar. Thank you Orangewood for such a great guitar. -Chris Green.
Great guitar for the money I heard YouTube videos of it being played and it sounded great on YouTube sounded much better in person totally exceeded my expectations very happy with it
Victoria is a low-priced and well made acoustic guitar and I had a 'REY' when it was the "bottom of the line" from Orangewood. I found the REY guitar to be fine all over with ordinary tuners. I replaced them with a 3X3 set of better quality for cheap and got all my money back when I sold the REY... The Victoria is now a modest cost and somewhat bright tone acoustic that will be a good 'open mic' night guitar into a microphone as I sing into another one. I got a barely used one with padded case and delivered for under $100. I can always get my money back easily when I sell it... I have owned Taylor, Guild, Epiphone, Gibson and Takamine and Alvarez over the years and Orangewood may be the best cheap guitars I have found. I can install a pickup easily and do all my own setup work on guitars, too. For a casual player ... an Orangewood is a very good choice to learn with and learn how to do basic setup chores (relief, nut slots, string choice, etc.). A Victoria may be a very good '2nd guitar' for me and even allow me to sell my 'pretty good' A/E made by Washburn and sold as Oscar Schmidt, if desired. We'll see !
