An Artist’s Secret Tool? The Rubber Bridge

Inspired by historic muting techniques and modified bridge designs of respected luthiers, we've put our unique spin on the dreamy rubber bridge tone. Using our parlor as the base, we tested a number of rubber-lined saddle designs to find the right thickness and adjustability. We then upgraded the bridge construction with additional reinforcement and added in a trapeze tailpiece. The result? A muted yet articulate sound.

Plug In and Explore

Juniper sounds great unplugged, but you should hear it through your favorite amp and pedals. The high-output rail humbucker projects the perfect punch to balance out all that mellowness, and a simple cupcake-style knob adds volume control.

Shockingly good

This thing is so much fun. It has a unique sound that just wants to make music. The finish and feel are fantastic for a sub $400 guitar. It really shines when plugged into your rig and sounds great through effects. The neck feels great with the satin finish and flat wound strings. Setup was great out of the box. If you are on the fence at all about getting one of these, just get it.

Beautiful sound, beautiful guitar!

Haven’t been able to put it down, I rarely play my other guitars now. The rubber bridge is so haunting and unique. It looks/feels/sounds like a much more expensive guitar. Orangewood knocked it out of the park

Thank you so much for the kind words! We're thrilled to hear you're enjoying your Juniper and that it's become your go-to guitar. Happy playing!

Unique, Moody, & Fun

Guitar is not my main instrument, but I can get by in a basic way. The rubber saddle and flat-wound strings give this instrument has a unique tone: It's dark and moody, but with more sustain than a palm muted sound. Plays nicely with effects pedals, but sounds cool with a clean signal and a little reverb, too. The action is SO delightfully easy and smooth. A side bonus: Unamplified, you can play this late at night without waking anybody up.
