Lives up to the hype!

I have an old cheap guitar and wanted an upgrade to something nicer. I did some research online and the Orangewood Oliver kept coming up as a good quality affordable option. I purchased one and I am really impressed with how well it sounds and looks. This is absolutely the best bang for your buck! Absolutely love it!!

Great bundle for the price

For those wanting a detailed review, here you go.

Sound:
The high’s are mellowed out, but not too much where it sounds muffled. The mid’s are rich and warm. The low’s aren’t prominent, but they are there.

Playability:
I play for my worship team along with playing neo-soul, r&b, soul, and jazz music in my spare time. This guitar has characteristics similar to a Taylor. The neck build is slender and easy to move around the fretboard. The height of the strings also adds to the ease of playability, because they are as close to the board without any buzzing.

Strings:
While they are not my favorite to play on, they are easy to maneuver in playing any chord variation. They bring out a lot of the airy frequencies of the guitar, enhancing the clarity of the tone.

Build:
So far from what I’ve seen it’s a great build. The inside of the guitar lacks glue blobs, which is good. There are no points in the guitar where it feels frail or unsupported, again that being a great thing. My only issue with the guitar is the finish. The natural satin finish is beautiful, but my guitar has textured speckles throughout the body.

Overall:
For the price, this guitar is spectacular. It seems like its playability can adapt to what is needed. I personally love the tone and feel of the guitar because it blends in with a band without overpowering any other instrument. It also has a great intimate feeling when fingerpicking because of the mahogany. This is my first guitar purchase ever and I can see myself using this guitar for studio work, live gigs, and worship services.

Chipped String

guitar sounds really good. I restrung to an open D tuning but one of my strings are like chipped so kinda bummer about that. Hoping it doesn’t alter the sound
