Was very happy with the quality, fit and finish of the guitar, especially for the cost. The action and set up were very well done. I also would like to Thank the folks at Orangewood. I purchased my guitar on line only to see 2 days later that my purchase was now on sale for 20% discount. I contacted the company and lamented about the discount. Before my guitar arrived they had reflected the discount on my invoice. Not only a great product but honest and hardworking folks.

The build was excellent. The action was excellent. But the string distance at the bridge and saddle is not evenly spaced. Example: l l l l l l ... I have 8 guitars and I have never seen this before. Uneven string spacing. I loosened the strings and realigned them, but when tuned back to pitch they revert back to the uneven spacing. Based on this I would be hesitant to purchase another Orangewood guitar.

Hi William - sorry to hear about this issue! We'd recommend checking your bridge pins to verify that the slots are centered. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at hello@orangewoodguitars.com.

Super playability and quality for the price

I have played acoustic guitars for 55 years, worked in a small shop that sold Martin and Gibson for a couple of years, and performed and recorded for about 9 years.
In 2020 I tore a ligament in my left wrist and, sad to say, it forced me to stop playing, unable to chord or play scales.
A couple of months ago someone suggested I learn to play left handed. I own and play 4 vintage Martins and the thought of risking that kind of $ on an experiment didn't make sense. I researched tons of guitars and played several. Finally, with super low expectations, I ordered a lefty Oliver. After lowering the action a little, this guitar plays really well. Starting over stinks, but I am impressed with the quality and sound of the Oliver. Not a Martin or Gibson, but sounds better than my Baby Taylor and really easy to play. I practice every day and it holds tune well. Great entry level guitar that plays more like higher end Yamaha or Alvarez...and better than some of the expensive, under par stuff that gets cranked out came out for the chain "Centers" and "Friends" market.

the guitar is great, the action and sound are phenomenal for the price. the only concern that I have is that the pick guard does not lay flat so it is not sticking the best. do you have any guidance?
