Amazing first guitar

I bought this guitar when I first wanted to learn how to play. It’s now been 5 years and the guitar is still holding up and plays awesome. It sounds awesome considering how affordable it is, and the action was perfect. I would highly recommend. The gig bag is also very high quality! Even after expanding my guitar collection, the Orangewood still has such a unique and cheery sound.

Thanks for your review, CK! We're so glad to hear you are still enjoying your Manhattan!

Extremely pleased with the Manhattan!

I was quite happy with both the quality and performance of the Orangewood Manhattan. I purchased it to do a head-to-head comparison with another "budget" guitar. The guitar, setup and gig bag were all great, and I was quite pleased with the tone and build quality of the Manhattan. I created an unboxing and review product for the Manhattan. Love it!

I got this for my sister as she has been wanting to learn for a while. I was so excited to hear her progress as she is taking an online youtube course and she really loves the guitar. It sounds really nice and I would say it is a great beginner guitar. It is also super pretty :)

Not just a great “starter” guitar.

I purchased this guitar as a Christmas gift for one of my nephews who has been expressing a strong interest in learning how to play. He hasn’t received it yet but I know that he will love it. As someone who has been playing the guitar for over 50-years, I have to say that this Orangewood guitar is probably the best I have seen in it’s price range and beyond. It has a nice crisp tone, holds a tune very well, and the set-up is fantastic. String action is spot-on allowing for a clean, clear tone as you go up the neck and effortless playability. Also, no string buzz anywhere. Every note is clear. I own a Gibson Les Paul Custom, an SG, and the white double neck as well as an American Stratocaster and Telecaster and a Martin acoustic (Among others). I can honestly say that I would not hesitate to use the Orangewood for a live performance. When people ask me for advice on what kind of guitar to buy for someone who is just beginning their guitar journey, I always tell them to buy a good guitar. One of the biggest detriments to young players is having a guitar that is hard to play. Many just give up and the guitar gets put away. Orangewood Guitars is making it possible for parents to get a really good acoustic guitar for not a lot of money and helping more young players keep their guitar journey going. Now, when someone asks me to recommend a guitar for a beginner, I will simply tell them to get an Orangewood. It is a great starter guitar but the quality that you build into each one and your attention to detail during the set-up make it much more than that. And that’s why it’s not just a great starter guitar.

Thank you for your review, Thomas, and for sharing the gift of music with your nephew! We hope he enjoys his new Manhattan!
