Good value for $150

Boxy sounding and light weight, but for the price a very good value. Looks great and easy to play.
Changing strings to Elixirs has helped sound. Maybe I should have bought the Mahogany top instead of spruce to find better sound.

This little guy packs a punch. Out of the box it was easy to play and set up brilliantly. It’s my second Orangewood. I love these guitars

Excellent! Sound!! Great Value! Easy to Play!

I’m in my first year of playing and have become obsessed with trying out different guitars and comparing their qualities. I go to a lot of stores and play everything I can get my paws on. It’s fun! I don’t buy because the budget is tight. .But I’ve played just about everything from the old, to the very cheap to the ones costing thousands of $. The only guitar I had to play at home was a dreadnought and I wanted a small bodied guitar for travel and practicing. A few months ago, I got another brand on Amazon—all mahogany and it’s pretty good, but obviously a cheap guitar. I knew about the Dana but got this other one instead as the price was less than $100 on sale. But I kept thinking I should have tried the Orangewood Dana. I’d seen all the reviews here and on YouTube about the Dana. I pondered the purchase for a long time. I kept thinking it couldn’t be that much better or maybe even, heaven forbid, worse than the little guitar I already had. Still…those reviews! Finally, after saving my pocket change for months, I ordered the Dana spruce. WOW! The craftsmanship is really great and similar to instruments much more expensive—the finish, fretboard/frets, binding, neck, tuners, all excellent. The tuners are exceptionally good. It’s surprisingly lightweight but solid. The finishing and set up out of the box was excellent. The SOUND! It’s got great volume, sustain, and its tone is crisp and bright. It’s just a well made guitar! I’m so impressed with it and I’m extremely happy to have it join my more expensive Seagull dread and the little mahogany job from Amazon. This thing is just GREAT. I have barely been able to put it down since it arrived. Excellent delivery too with many updates from Orangewood and fedex and Free shipping! If you’re on the fence like I was, just get this little surprisingly wonderful instrument. You will NOT regret it. To b clear, it’s a beater/travel HPL guitar and by no means the Cadillac of guitars. But it’s a well made wonderfully appointed laminated top/body instrument that has excellent sound and great playability OUT OF THE BOX! I’ll eventually get it set up professionally but it’s definitely not necessary. Orangewood knocked this out of the park. I’ll certainly get another Orangewood in the future.
