Impressed !

When I first heard about this guitar, I was very skeptical about the quality. I read and watched reviews and decided to purchase one. i’ve been playing guitar for about 12y years and I can say this is truly a great guitar. And I’m not just talking about the price! I normally don’t leave reviews on purchases I make online, but I’m so excited and happy about my purchase I had to. I see myself being a long time customer.

Dana Mini Mahogany in the Desert

Living in the deserts of Arizona can be very challenging for acoustic guitars. I chose the Dana Mini Mahogany for several reasons. First, I need a travel size guitar that will fit in airline overhead bin. Second, I wanted a quality built guitar that has a good mellow sound. Third, I chose the all laminate construction because I live in an extreme climate with very low humidity. I found the Orangewood Dana Mini Mahogany to meet all these requirements. Having played a dreadnaught size guitar for years, I must say it has been an adjustment. I found the Dana Mini sounds best played either fingerstyle or strummed more softly that you would play a dreadnaught. It sounds great. There is plenty of volume. Good projection alone but can also easily be mic'd with a condenser mic. The set-up done be Orangewood was great! Intonation is right on and it plays beautifully. The gigbag is very high quality and great for transporting. I will be playing gigs with it here in Tombstone. It is a very pretty guitar with all the hallmarks of great craftsmanship. All & all, I am very happy with this little guitar that has a lot punch.

Really nice couch/travel guitar

The quality of the Dana mini is quite good. I wanted something smaller for just sitting around and playing. The build quality is very good and sounds very nice. However, it wasn't quite the sound I was looking for in reference to general playing (the mahogany is just a little too mellow). But I will definitely use it for recording additional guitar tracks. The only negative I have is it doesn't like using a capo very much. At least not the one I have. Still not a deal breaker. Great guitar at a great price.
