Inspired by historic muting techniques and modified bridge designs of respected luthiers, we've put our unique spin on the dreamy rubber bridge tone. Using our parlor as the base, we tested a number of rubber-lined saddle designs to find the right thickness and adjustability. We then upgraded the bridge construction with additional reinforcement and added in a trapeze tailpiece. The result? A muted yet articulate sound.
Ernie Ball Flatwounds provide a nice warmth to accentuate Juniper’s tonal textures, while Grover open-gear tuners ensure tuning stability. From beginning songwriters to touring pros, you can count on Juniper for reliable performance.
Juniper sounds great unplugged, but you should hear it through your favorite amp and pedals. The high-output rail humbucker projects the perfect punch to balance out all that mellowness, and a simple cupcake-style knob adds volume control.
Juniper is ready to play right out of the gig bag with a professional set up before shipment. When needed, you can easily fine-tune the guitar’s playability at home, using the headstock truss rod access, allowing for neck relief and adjustment.
OK, first off I adore my Guava Red rubber bridge Juniper. The rubber bridge sound has me so inspired to a new way of looking at songwriting.
The tone is amazing plugged in especially since I am using drop C tuning it has incredible bass tones not something you expect from a parlour guitar.
The playability totally competes with my Taylors. I believe the set up is even better and the action more impressive than my Taylor guitars.
Definitely my next guitar purchase is not going to be another Taylor but another Orangewood I’m looking at the Oliver live or the Oliver live Junior something I will feel comfortable with travelling on a plane going out west to see my son.
Unfortunately, I am a Canadian customer and a tariff war has begun so I am holding off ordering my Oliver, even though I’m dying to purchase it. I know this Tariff war is no reflection on Orangewood. It is a reflection of the current Government And definitely not a reflection of the American public who have been our allies and friends for so long…. Hoping this situation will be resolved soon. again Just to reiterate Orangewood I love your products😊and whoever did the setup on my guitar is an absolute expert at Their job…😉❤️
Thank you for your review! We're thrilled to hear that your Juniper has inspired a new approach to your songrwriting. We're excited to welcome you to the Orangewood family and look forward to having you as a customer again in the future!
Has become my go to guitar. The unique plunky tones paired with the insane playability of this make it just a ton of fun to play. Great quality and came setup perfectly.
I took advantage of what was supposed to be an “almost perfect” sale. After looking over this guitar, I have not found a single thing that makes this “almost perfect”. One idea may be that I can’t tell the difference between what’s normal to expect on an inexpensive guitar such as this, and what would make Orangewood deem this as “almost perfect”. I am thoroughly contented with the condition of this guitar. Out of the box it looks and plays amazing. I love the unique sound of the rubber bridge and hope to utilize this guitar on my next album. The aesthetic is absolutely wonderful. I chose the black option. It looks beautiful and timeless. The single volume nob is the perfect thing to tie the look together. I do have one complaint. This guitar is a brick in the hands. It weighs as much as my 5 string bass. An absolute chonker. If Orangewood could find a way to shed some weight, that would make this guitar perfect. I absolutely recommend anyone pick up a Juniper. If nothing else, it’s a high quality inexpensive guitar to noodle around on. I look forward to all the music I will make with mine.
Juniper Guava Red Live (Rubber Bridge)
Perhaps it needs to brought in for an adjustment, but the A and E notes on the second fret, third and fourth string are buzzy. Otherwise, I like the sound of the guitar.
