I picked up the Oliver Live this past February and have been very pleased with the quality of the instrument. It arrived mostly in tune and only need some small adjustments. There was also a little buzzing on some strings which warranted some adjustment with the truss rod. I live on the east coast so there was a fair amount of travel that occurred while shipping. I expected it to get bumped around a little bit and have to make some adjustments when it arrived. In the end I would still recommend Orangewood as the quality for the price can not be beat.
Came packaged well and pretty fast. It was expertly and smartly tuned down a step for shipping. I got Ollie unboxed and tuned to pitch.
First impression is that it is an absolutely beautiful instrument. The dark mahogany give it a beautifully elegant look.
Ollie rings clear and true. A very nice and bright sound, plays pretty fast. I have been playing a Fender dreadnought acoustic which was challenging for my short T-Rex arms. Ollie is perfect for people of smaller stature.
Alomso, the pick ups work and sound great. Another win for Orangewood!
Not the greatest sound even for an inexpensive guitar. Definitely not for finger picking
The string action is too low,
String ringin on High E,B,G tirst , 2nd and 3rd
Frets
What a value. It plays terrific and resonates beautifully with open voiced chords. I am so grateful that such a guitar could be delivered so affordably. I’m hooked on Orangewood!
