Inspired by historic muting techniques and modified bridge designs of respected luthiers, we've put our unique spin on the dreamy rubber bridge tone. Using our parlor as the base, we tested a number of rubber-lined saddle designs to find the right thickness and adjustability. We then upgraded the bridge construction with additional reinforcement and added in a trapeze tailpiece. The result? A muted yet articulate sound.
Ernie Ball Flatwounds provide a nice warmth to accentuate Juniper’s tonal textures, while Grover open-gear tuners ensure tuning stability. From beginning songwriters to touring pros, you can count on Juniper for reliable performance.
Juniper sounds great unplugged, but you should hear it through your favorite amp and pedals. The high-output rail humbucker projects the perfect punch to balance out all that mellowness, and a simple cupcake-style knob adds volume control.
Juniper is ready to play right out of the gig bag with a professional set up before shipment. When needed, you can easily fine-tune the guitar’s playability at home, using the headstock truss rod access, allowing for neck relief and adjustment.
This is a great guitar to have sitting next to you on the couch or the porch or anywhere! It just cries out to be played, and the mellow tone is the perfect thing when you just want to work out some ideas, but you don’t necessarily want everyone you live with to have to adjust what they’re doing to accommodate your playing. For the price, I found the build quality, overall setup, playability right out of the box, packaging and speedy delivery to be top notch. Actually, even better than I expected. The satin finish isn’t usually something I’d choose, but here it works really well, and it’s so comfortable and smooth that, again, you just want to play it. Also, when you plug this guitar in, it opens up a whole new world of opportunities for overdriven tones and recording options to enhance or double other acoustics.
From my experience, I would recommend this, and I think the price point is spot on given what’s out there in the affordable parlor guitar market.
Thank you for your review! We're so pleased to hear that your Juniper is inspiring you to play. Enjoy the range of tones!
I've dreamed for a long time about getting my own Rubber Bridge guitar, and thanks to Orangewood, now I do. It's easy and fun to play and sounds beautiful, particularly when I run it through my amp. I'm having a great time discovering new sounds for my music. Stop watching the videos on how to convert your guitars and get this! You won't be sorry. : )
Solid build, attractive details all around, great finish and edge work. Sounds particularly good plugged in (zero buzz / feedback) with a very unique tone. I’m feeling Roy Orbison, Skeeter Davis, and Chris Issak.
Thank you for your review, John! We're glad to hear that you're enjoying the unique tone and solid build of your Juniper — it’s great to know it’s helping you channel some iconic sounds!
This is a Christmas present for my grandson, Jack, who just turned fifteen!!! He loves the Orangewood guitars & will be super excited when he opens the Limited Edition Juniper Rubber Bridge Guitar at Christmas♥️🎄♥️
Thank you for choosing Orangewood for your gift-giving needs! We hope your grandson loves his Special Edition Juniper!
I've been performing for almost 30 years, and wanted a rubber bridge guitar but honestly was hesitant because of the affordability of this guitar. I've been running it through a Marshall amp and it will likely be my default guitar for one of my groups. We do pop songs scaled back and acoustic and this is a great fit!
Thank you for choosing Orangewood! We're thrilled to hear that the guitar is a perfect fit for your setup - enjoy!
