I LOVE my Oliver Jr Live!

When I initially ordered this guitar, I was shipped the wrong one :( Orangewood sent me the regular Oliver Jr (without the electric pick-up). They also didn’t include the pick guard. HOWEVER, after contacting their support team, they quickly escalated my order and issued me a return label. I shipped the guitar back and they shipped me back the correct one along with a little gift for the mistake. After receiving my Oliver Jr Live, I’ve played it almost EVERY day. In my opinion, it even played better than the original one they sent me. It felt and sounded more “broken in”. I love this mini guitar and the bright sound that it offers. It’s a great and lightweight guitar to carry on vacation or for small intimate settings. I own a Martin Series X. While I enjoy the Martins large, deeper/richer sound, the Orangewood Oliver Jr is a great alternative when you want something lighter, brighter, and easier to play. :)

Thank you for working with us and for submitting a review! We're so glad to hear that you're happy with your Oliver Jr!

Great guitar!

I purchased this guitar because I needed a smaller and cheaper option for the times when I am asked to lead worship in places where taking my full-size Taylor is difficult. I have been blown away by the sound! Whether I am just relaxing on the couch or leading worship in a random park here in the DR, this guitar never disappoints. I am very, very pleased with this purchase.

My Go To guitar

My favorite guitar had been my GS Mini Koa Plus and it still gets played but my go to has become the Oliver Jr Live. They are basically the same comfortable size but the Oliver seems to have a slightly narrower neck (subjectively measured by the ease of wrapping my thumb around the neck) and fits me a little better. When plugged in the two are competitive in sound for fingerpicking, the GS is better for strumming. After you play the Oliver it's hard to believe the price tag on it. They are such a bargain I just received my 2nd Oliver a few days ago and it will stay tuned to DADGAD and DADFAD. These Oliver's fit me like a glove. I'm playing more because they are hard to walk past without picking them up.

Bought for my 8 yr olds birthday

Has a good action and sounds good.
Fits him very well and he was extremely happy to see it was a real guitar not a kiddy guitar
I’m hoping it lasts for the two kids coming behind him as well.

Ok

Not a great sound, but stays in tune and might sound better with better strings. Seems like it was made by a machine
