Inspired by historic muting techniques and modified bridge designs of respected luthiers, we've put our unique spin on the dreamy rubber bridge tone. Using our parlor as the base, we tested a number of rubber-lined saddle designs to find the right thickness and adjustability. We then upgraded the bridge construction with additional reinforcement and added in a trapeze tailpiece. The result? A muted yet articulate sound.
Ernie Ball Flatwounds provide a nice warmth to accentuate Juniper’s tonal textures, while Grover open-gear tuners ensure tuning stability. From beginning songwriters to touring pros, you can count on Juniper for reliable performance.
Juniper sounds great unplugged, but you should hear it through your favorite amp and pedals. The high-output rail humbucker projects the perfect punch to balance out all that mellowness, and a simple cupcake-style knob adds volume control.
Juniper is ready to play right out of the gig bag with a professional set up before shipment. When needed, you can easily fine-tune the guitar’s playability at home, using the headstock truss rod access, allowing for neck relief and adjustment.
If guitar is a cuisine, then this rubber bridge is a robust addition to the palette! The Juniper Rubber Bridge adds a unique sound that compliments the other components of a band while also having the strength to stand on its own. I appreciate the parlor shape for its ease and accessibility, however, I find a larger shape would provide greater accessibility to the higher ends of the neck, therefore earning a four-star review.
I highly recommend this guitar to musicians and enthusiasts everywhere, both as an addition to an already established collection or as a way to spice up traditional rhythms and sounds!
I have always loved the old blues, like Robert Johnson, but they never sounded quite right with any regular acoustic guitar. This Juniper guitar with a rubber bridge is the perfect instrument for my performances.
Juniper Live Rubber Bridge
I've been looking for a rubber bridge guitar for a while. This "surf green" model is impeccable! It's not just beautiful, but it's also very well balanced. Not too muted, not top open. It sounds great. As a music producer, it's a tool that I'm going to use on a lot of different projects.
I purchased the Sun Burst. The esthetics of this guitar are awesome. Very unique and gets others attention. The sound is actually pretty loud and full and . easy to play. I love the slightly muted sound for use in playing blue's. Folk music., some Country and even some jazz and rock.
My only disappointment (and (has no effect the review). I'm bummed that a concert size is now introduced and ofered a month after I bought the parlor size. I love the sound and playability though of the parlor.
