Inspired by historic muting techniques and modified bridge designs of respected luthiers, we've put our unique spin on the dreamy rubber bridge tone. Using our parlor as the base, we tested a number of rubber-lined saddle designs to find the right thickness and adjustability. We then upgraded the bridge construction with additional reinforcement and added in a trapeze tailpiece. The result? A muted yet articulate sound.
Ernie Ball Flatwounds provide a nice warmth to accentuate Juniper’s tonal textures, while Grover open-gear tuners ensure tuning stability. From beginning songwriters to touring pros, you can count on Juniper for reliable performance.
Juniper sounds great unplugged, but you should hear it through your favorite amp and pedals. The high-output rail humbucker projects the perfect punch to balance out all that mellowness, and a simple cupcake-style knob adds volume control.
Juniper is ready to play right out of the gig bag with a professional set up before shipment. When needed, you can easily fine-tune the guitar’s playability at home, using the headstock truss rod access, allowing for neck relief and adjustment.
I’m absolutely obsessed with it.
This guitar is sooo different — in the most magical way. The Orangewood Juniper with the rubber bridge isn’t just an instrument, it’s a whole mood. It’s lo-fi, dreamy, and crazy inspiring. Every note feels nostalgic, like an old record you forgot you loved. If you’re into tones that are warm, weird, and wonderfully unique, this is 100% the way to go. Total game changer
Thank you for your review! We're so glad the Juniper is bringing that lo-fi magic to your guitar playing—it's definitely a vibe all its own and we're thrilled it's been a game changer for you!
Still a lot to figure out regarding how this guitar can be used, but so happy with it so far. I’ve never liked the tinny sounds that some guitars have on GBE, typically preferring nylon string guitars for that reason. With its low action, incredible playability, and very different sound, this guitar is inspiring me to practice more.
Thank you so much for your review! We're thrilled to hear that the unique sound and feel of your Juniper are inspiring you to play more—happy playing!
I love the Juniper. It's all together a different thing than any other guitar and inspires you to play it completely differently.
Beyond that though, I had some issues I was trying to work out with the guitar (no ones fault) and Orangewood offered one of the best customer service experienced I've maybe ever had. And I mean across the board, not just in music gear world. Happy to play Orangewood and will continue my collection with them. Great people!
Thank you for your review! We're so glad you're loving your Juniper and had a great experience with our customer service team. Welcome to the Orangewood family!
This guitar isn't what you expect - in a good way. It's exceptionally well built from top to bottom and comes with a very good setup. It FEELS amazing and looks rad. I say it's not what you expect because it will reshape how you play guitar. It's not electric OR acoustic - it's altogether different. If you buy it as a backup acoustic, you'll be disappointed. If you buy it to use as an electric in your collection, you'll also be bummed. Instead, buy it as the unicorn of your guitar collection. Pair it with a few nice pedals (delay, verb, compression) and pull it out when you need to get creative or try something new. It will challenge you to play differently, think differently, and appreciate the wide range of diversity it add to your string section.
