It’s a great little guitar for the money, especially since I got it on sale. After a year, the action got to be pretty high because of a belly bulge which I fixed using a JLD Bridge Doctor. After sanding down the saddle a few hundreds, the action at the 12th was just where I like it at .09 and .075 on the low and high E strings. The frets needed no work at all and only the slightest of adjustment to the nut and this guitar was dialed in. I also added a K&K Pure Mini passive pickup to it and it sounds pretty good wired.
It’s fire
I really like it, the tone is amazing, the feel of the strings are incredible, and the guitar overall is really light weight which I like, so thank you for the guitar 🔥🔥🔥🔥
No complaints except the bridge nut was still a little high. Just a personal preferance. Over all I rate rhe guitar in beauty, payability and setup, 4.8. would buy again, and would reccomend
I received my Rey today, and I'm truly impressed. I had a severe stroke several years ago and I thought my playing days were over until I picked up a friend's guitar and found I had the potential to play again. However, I'm a bit picky when it comes to sound. From the video reviews on YouTube, it seemed to have a decent sound so, Orangewood was to be just the ticket. I was surprised when I got it, the fit and finish was very nice, but the sound (especially for a laminate top) was incredible. The setup was great and was easy enough for me to play. I have owned several high-end guitars so I understand what a great sound is. For $145 you will never beat this guitar ever for 2 or 3 times the price.
