Pomona Live

Stunning guitar. It had all the appointments I wanted at a price I couldn’t find elsewhere. Rhett Shull had good things to say about an Orangewood guitar he reviewed. My Pomona Live arrived in perfect condition. Sounds great. I’m impressed with the pick up- LR Baggs. Solid spruce top. Bone nut and saddle. Grover tuners. Binding and Ivory Block inlays give the neck appearance something extra. It’s everything.

Thank you so much for picking up a Pomona Live! Enjoy!

Pomona is FANTASTIC!

A lot of bang for your buck! Warm, punchy, crisp. Electronics are decent for being a simple system. Can’t complain! It get’s the job done very nicely especially for $500. I got this for a second guitar to have on-hand for fun or for alternate tunings, but after unpacking and playing it, I wouldn’t be sad to use it for recording or on stage as a primary guitar. I’ve owned several higher-end ($3000-$5000) acoustic/electrics - Taylors, Gibsons, Martins. My Martin HD-28 is still my fav, but this Pomona is a great addition. Setup and intonation are solid. Looks nice. Feels nice. Get one. You won’t regret it.

Thanks for your review! We're thrilled that you're enjoying your Pomona!

Pomona Live

Hello Bram,

After a little difficult start, as Orangewood doesn‘t ship to Switzerland; some problem to get the welcome discount code, my friend Christina having to postpone her flight… from LA to Denver, from there to Germany, further to Austria where I picked it up and brought it to Switzerland finally I‘ve got my guitar a week ago and all is good!!
The refund has been returned as you promised, the guitar had arrived in Denver in time for the supposed earlyer flight and it‘s a very nice instrument.
It sounds great, feels good and inviting to play, the action is nice and for a beginner like me motivating to improve.
Thank you very much for following up with me so I finally got it here in Switzerland, I hope in the future you‘ll be able to ship to many places, it would make purchases easyer and there are for shure more people that are interested.
I will check your website about the truss rod adjustment, could be that it‘s needed.
Thank you again!
Greetings
Enzo

New favorite!

So this is my 4th guitar from Orangewood. I also own the Brooklyn, an Oliver, and I honestly don't remember what model I bought my kid a few years back but I've never had a bad experience. The Pomona Live may be my new favorite guitar though. I own a few higher end guitars and this guitar sounds amazing and can hold it's own against more popular name brands easily. I haven't plugged it in yet so I can't speak on how it sounds amped up but I rarely use an amp.

First off this thing is gorgeous. It came polished, I could see my reflection in it. The set up was pretty much perfect, the strings were slightly outta tune but I expect that when having a guitar shipped across the country. Action was perfect for what I like though. This honestly blew me away, I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I do and it's probably going to become my daily player. Feels, looks, sounds, and smells great.

Can't Stop Playing It!

I received this guitar a few days ago and haven't been able to put it down. Action was set up perfectly and the neck is super comfortable to play on for long periods of time. If you're in the market for a dreadnought with a solid spruce top and looks amazing, you can't go wrong with this. I couldn't think of a more deserving artist to receive a signature guitar as good as this.
