My first lesson went well. Second one tomorrow.
Thanks for the review, JoAnn! Enjoy the musical journey!
Very nice instrument. I have been playing guitar for quite a few years and decided to try the Uke. After watching a few YouTube clips, I ventured to try Orangewood. The kit bag and accessories are great and the Uke is fun to play and has a wonderful sound. It took a week or two for the strings to properly stretch and stay in tune (I was constantly tuning it). Once that period passed, it stays nicely in tune (only need to tune once per session). Fantastic work. Orangewood!!
Thanks for the review, Steve. We are so glad you gave our Milo Concert Mahogany a try!
This uke is an outstanding instrument for the price. I am very pleased with its sound quality. This most likely will be my travel uke. Thanks for offering such a nice instrument at such a very good price.
Easy 5 stars. Best quality for the price, you can't ask for much more at this price point, exactly what I was looking for, thanks Orangewood!
To the reviewers talking about strings going out of tune, that is normal and takes a while to stretch completely.
I have orangewood Oliver Mahogany guitar. After getting a good quality guitar, I wanted to try Ukulele with similar quality. Ukulele came with a nice gig bag & accessories needed except capo. The sound quality is alright but the most frustrating part is the strings going out of tune every now & then. For the same price, this ukulele do not match overall quality expectations when compared to Kala Makala.
Hi Hardik - as the strings on your instrument are new, they may take a couple weeks to stretch and settle. Nylon strings take even more time to stretch than steel strings. Something that will help speed up this process is gently tugging up on each string a few times, then re-tuning the instrument - you can repeat this multiple times until the pitch starts to hold.
